Matching
RISE may use my class year, major, career direction, interests, what I said I want help with, the experiences I value in a mentor, and my mentoring preferences to arrange or keep a mentorship. My peer mentor is always from my own house.
What my match sees
My mentor or mentee receives my Morgan email, my preferred name, and why we were matched (for example, a shared major or experience). My mentor may see what I said I want help with.
Check-ins
RISE records who is paired with whom and whether our check-ins happened. The Peer Programming Director and the Professional Programming Director may follow up if check-ins stop or a concern comes up. RISE does not read private messages on other apps.
Boundaries
I will keep what my mentor or mentee shares with me private, except when I need to get help for a safety concern. Romantic or sexual involvement inside a mentorship is not allowed. Mentorship is not a replacement for counseling, medical, legal, or emergency help.
For a problem with a mentorship, I can contact the Peer Programming Director.
RISE records the version of each agreement you accept, your typed name, and when. If this text changes, you will be asked to read and accept the new version.
