What RISE collects
Who I am and how to reach me; my academic information (major, class year, and a GPA range, never an exact GPA); my interests and preferences; my answers to the values and working-style questions; and a record of each agreement I accept.
As I take part: my house, group, and mentor; attendance, service hours, and check-ins; my dues status; and my membership status. Support information is collected only when I choose to give it.
Why
To run membership, place me in a house, form groups and mentorships, track requirements, contact me, and notice early when someone might need support.
My working-style answers are used only to make sure accountability groups are a healthy mix. They are not a diagnosis, and they are never shown to other scholars.
RISE may share de-identified totals (numbers that cannot be traced to a person) in reports, grant applications, and on its website.
Who can see what
Officers see only what their seat needs. Access belongs to the office, not the person, and ends the day someone leaves the seat. Support needs, strike counts, and concerns are limited to the specific offices named in RISE policy. Student ID numbers are seen only by the Director of Communications for verification and are never exported.
My group members and mentor receive my Morgan email so we can reach each other. Anything more, such as my phone number, is shared only if I choose.
RISE never sells my information. The companies that host the website and send its email handle my information only to run the service.
How long it is kept
Applications that never become a membership are deleted at the end of that academic year. When I graduate or leave, my record is reduced to my name, graduation year, house, roles I held, and a personal email only if I choose to give one. My GPA range, check-in answers, support needs, and working-style answers are removed.
My choices
I can ask to see or correct my information, or to close my account, by contacting the Director of Communications. RISE will tell me what it can remove, what it must keep, and why.
The website uses only the cookies it needs to keep me signed in and keep forms secure.
RISE records the version of each agreement you accept, your typed name, and when. If this text changes, you will be asked to read and accept the new version.
