In an emergency
Call 911. On campus, you can also contact Morgan State University Police. The Resources page lists campus help, including counseling.
Report something
Use the Report a concern page. You can send it without signing in and without your name. It goes to the two RISE members named to receive concerns. If your concern is about one of them, contact the RISE advisor instead.
Protect your account
Never share your password. RISE will never ask for it, by email, text, or in person.
RISE will never ask for card or bank details on this site or in a message. Dues are paid only through the instructions RISE gives members.
Signing in on a shared computer? Sign out when you are done.
Mentorships and meetings
Meet in public or on campus, especially at first. Keep what your mentor or mentee shares private, except when you need to get help for a safety concern.
Romantic or sexual involvement inside a mentorship is not allowed. If a mentorship feels wrong, tell the Peer Programming Director, or use the concern form.
Your group and mentor receive only your email. Share your phone number or social media only if you want to.
Watch for scams
Be careful with job or scholarship offers that ask you to pay a fee, or that come from an address that is not the organization's own. Listings on the Opportunity Board are checked by an officer, but always confirm on the organization's own website before you apply.
